We have had our onions in the ground about a month now and they are just now starting to show signs of growth. I too would put a lot of things on hold in order to take that trip. All the better you have a great house sitter.
Cute chicks! Hopefully some of mine will come close to those. Well, 41 eggs are in the bator as of 8 PM CDST. My only regret is I wish the Marans were much darker. Oh well, I gots what I gots.
