   It looks like a rooster to me. I have a Black silkie rooster. They're very sweet & not to noisy.

I'm sorry for your losses & wish I had lot's of helpful info to offer. However I just wanted to say that it could very well be mites. Treat them with Sevin dust powder. It may help you with your problem. Good luck & hope someone...
