My first eight hens were battery house rescues, then we got given Rocky the rooster, he outlived the girls, so now we have four more hens (Missy, Sally, Fizz and Mini). Missy is the outgoing super speedy one that's always making a racket. Sally is Rocky's main girl and is currently on the 7th day of incubating his babies. Fizz is the nice one that gets along with all the chickens and cuddles Mini at night. Mini is the one that's picked on, mainly by Rocky, she's gorgeous, can be really noisy at times and she's by far the smartest of the bunch, Missy sometimes follows her so she can get a share of whatever she finds.
UPDATE: Rocky gets supervised visits with his chicks every-so-often and spends most the day by their coop. Missy unfortunately died. Sally hatched 5 chicks, 3 black, 2 white and they now have a coop. When they were left in the sleep-out the cheeky chicks squeezed under the door and were found hanging out with their uncle Bubble (cat) who is a known killer of baby birds! However, he must've known they were the offspring of kung fu chickens, so he just sat with them, we once found him sat under my sisters bed watching our pet rat walk around when she left the cage open! He's so good, and we're so lucky!!! Fizz is now top of the pecking order, since Missy died and Sally's on maternity leave. Mini's being treat for bumble foot, and being cooped until the neighbours corn is done, she's enjoying not being attacked by Rocky, we'll probably keep her in there til her foots better then when the chicks are older we might take mummy out and put Mini in, see if they're nice to her...
