So, we were going to have 6 laying hens right? Umm, yeah.....we had a hard time finding our birds so once I found "my chicken guy", I went a bit overboard. We ended up with 18 birds and I have no idea how many are pullets. We have lost one of our BO's but that is it so far. Oh yeah, I have also aquired 2 silkies that are grown. A white hen and a mostly black with a little orangey/gold around his hackles. He has a couple scraggly feathers in his tail that are that blue/green black mix that are a very pretty color but look quite odd amongst all the fuzz. I'll get some pics of that happy couple up soon.
