A surprise hatching! 17 chicks!!!! A broody buff orpington was sitting on 19 eggs, only 17 hatched. I had no idea she was sitting on these eggs. Had them hidden in another small coop! Sneaky-sneaky! I believe they were all NHR and BO crosses, and can you believe it almost ALL of them were pullets? OMG! If I remember correctly, there were 15 pullets. But we gave most of them away. Was too many for us to handle at the time.
