Inspiration picture for new roost design. Roosts will be 2 x 4 turned so the birds have the wide part of roost to rest on.
Green lines are roosting spots, we will be putting a roosting bar along the length of the coop above the pop door. The flock also roosts on the nesting box perch in the right bottom of picture, the blue arrows are where we will be putting supports for roosts. The pink x is the current roosts which will be removed.
Removable roosts, this will be similar to what we end up doing with our roots.
