This feeder is excellent for anyone who has a bunch of birds. It is sturdy and it holds a lot of feed. I found it to be a bit heavy when full but it is manageable. The feeder is adjustable so you can manage the flow of feed depending on whether you are using crumble or pellets. I hang my feeder outside and was concerned about the feed getting wet. I drilled a small hole in a trash barrel lid and ran the hangar line through it. It looks much like a squirrel baffle but works great as a rain hood and keeps the food dry during all but the most heavy downpours.

I had an old one in my shed the previous owners left behind. I had no place to hang it so tried placing on the ground, it was ok, but i just dont like the metal, its getting old and rusty looking
