Great Little Incubator

Pros: All Automatic

Cons: A little awkward to fill when full of eggs

The Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO Auto Turn really is so simple. I just made the mistake of not using the factory recomended humidity levels, and left the humidity to high, so my first hatch was a bust. Second one is going strong! For the people who don't have enough time in the day to manually turn their eggs, or make sure that the temp is just right, this is the incubator for you! It is pricey, but I think it is well worth it. There is a great warranty on it, and the quality is superb!

Pros: Holds two dozen egs, easy to adjust temp., overall awesome

Cons: broke once with eggs in it, tricky to clean

I would definitely recommend this incubator. I have hatched many chicks in it. The time it did break brinsea fixed it for free. One thi8ng I do struggle with is that I can't get the humidity high enough with the water troughs. I have to fill both to get 45%RH. Then I add little dishes to get it to 65%. This was my first incubator and I love it. I will be using as a hatcher only in the future.

Pros: really easy to use !

Cons: you have to pour water in, eggs fall over

this incubator is great! I hatched 30 quail and 4 chickens in it, it holds a lot of eggs but you have to pour in water, I would highly recommend this incubator  for beginners because it is so easy to use, the price is a little high, but it is much better than those styrofoam incubators,

Pros: easy to clean, large viewing area, stable, fan, turn eggs without opening, attractive design, easy to adjust, affordable

Cons: doesn't hold enough eggs

I'm happy with my Brinsea, I'm so glad I did some research & chose to buy it instead of some of the other brands out there. I love the fact that you can turn the eggs manually just by tilting the incubator, even without the optional auto-turn cradle you never have to open it! I also like the fact that I can see in it from the sides, it helps to be able to see what condition the chicks are in when they emerge. I just can't say enough good things about this incubator, the temp. stays stable even when the temp. in my room swings a little at night. I can't forget to mention - it's so easy to clean! (I have heard about how nasty the styrofoam incubator can be). The only thing I could...

Pros: Ease of use and price

Cons: Does not have all bells

You can buy two for the price of the Brinsea Advanced 20. It is about the same price of a Hova Bator with fan and turner. Yes it holds less eggs but I get a lot better hatch than my Bator. The only thing I whish it had is a built in hygrometer.
