I hatched one out with my speck. Sussex, and Wyandotte's last year it was an extra egg the breeder threw in and honestly I would not have hatched it if my daughters did not demand I put it in the incubater. She has quickly become my favorite out of my flock of 20 she is one of the better layers usualy laying 6 medium eggs per week. Her egg size is a little smaller then the others but she is half the size of the other girls to so she eats alot less. She is a better watch chicken then the three roosters I have she is always the first to alert if a strange dog or hawk is in the area. She can fly really well and she will if threatened I lost about 4 chickens to hawks last summer and so far she has survived. I will definately be adding more Hamburgs to my flock this year. I was a little worried that being smaller then her flock mates she would get picked on but so far she is doing fine she is spunky enough to hold her place in the pecking order and not get pushed around. She is not the type of chicken that is under foot wanting to be picked up but that is fine with me.
