Pros: Beautiful, very Smart, Get along with other breeds, Can Live with Bantams,
Cons: Non-Consistant egg layer, not cold hardy, susceptible to illnesses
I currently own 7 hens and 3 roosters! They all live in a nice coop with other breeds! They are very nice and pretty birds and a lot of people are amazed by their feathers and their colors. I originally bought 4 (1 roo and 3 hens) from a breeder who just happened to have a few of them. I bought them and brought them home. They all laid an egg on the way home. The cage got opened and they all got out, They are very agile birds and I had to catch them. Once I got all 4 back into the coop, they seemed to get along with my buff orpington, ancona, silver pheonix's, and some other breeds. I then gathered some of their eggs and hatched them. i got 10 out of 11 to hatch (on my birthday even better) I then raised those and some died, some lived, I sold them all to a person at a swap thing, He raised them up and I just bought them back a couple of days ago. I am very happy to have all the babies of my chickens and I have 3 more in the incubator, This breed, you just have to know what you are doing with them before you get them!! They are a very fun breed though!
