My favourite breed
Pros: Wonderful personalities and easy to tame
Cons: Lays few eggs and feathered feet can be a nuisance
The pekin in the picture does not look like a lavender pekin, she looks more like a blue pekin. Lavender pekins are lighter and they do not have the navy colour in the hackles/neck feathers
My favourite bantam
Pros: tame, beautiful and cute
Cons: small eggs and feathery legs require careful maintenance.
The most delightful, entertaining chicken. Main drawback is her feathery legs need cleaning fairly often, but well worth it- she is my favourite. Has a cute waddle style run and is a poor flyer. She lays tiny eggs: one every other day, but if you are looking for a pet with personality, look no further.
