Naked Necks

Pros: Lay a lot of eggs and are very friendly, more so than my Orps.

Cons: People don't like the looks of them, that's the only one I found, even the roos are friendly.

I have naked necks for a while now, I have White,Red and black, and they are the standard colors ( and buff too but I don't have it )

 

I also enjoy playing around with other colors like Blue,Splash and my newest one BLRNN.

 

I always recommend the NN's to people that are looking for good egg layers, cold hardy and very good with the heat too, if you can get over the looks  you got a really good chicken.

I also have NN only 3 hens and a roo. All my chickens are full blooded, but for the winter all are housed together. I was thinking of crossing a NN roo with a plymouth barred rock hen or vis vrsa this spring. Does anyone know the result? will I get any barred NN?
