Pros: Friendly, outgoing, great layers
Cons: Doesn't bear confinement as well as other breeds
Overall, my experience with my Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster has lead me to love the breed. My rooster follows me everywhere I go and jumps into my lap whenever I sit down. Occassionally he will nip at me when I reach to pet him, but I think that is more a commentary on roosters than it is on the breed.
He doesn't bear confinement well and likes to have free range of the backyard. I have found Wyandottes to be a beautiful, outgoing breed and intend to keep a permanent place for them in my flock.
I recommend them to anyone looking for a good pet or egg layer, provided that you can give them a decent amount of living space.
