Pros: Egg every day that's not raining (so far), very docile, beautiful bird
Cons: can be bossy with other birds
Our Golden Laced Wyandotte is not the most outgoing bird, she won't willingly be handled but we did not raise her from a chick, she was 15 weeks old when we bought her. When she is handled she is very docile. She started laying at almost exactly 6 months of age and has been laying dependably (5-6 eggs/week) every since. We had a hurt chicken and the Wyandotte was the one to bully the other but I can't say that's unnatural. Overall a terrific bird and absolutely beautiful!
