I ordered these girls as Araucana but I'm not sure if they are or not they are 7wks

A lot of hatcheries mislabel their Easter Eggers as Araucanas or Ameracaunas. That happened with my chick, and I believed them, until I was told that wasn't true by some one. Aracuanas have no tails and Ameracaunas are pure breeds that only come in a few colors. Easter Eggers are still lovely, awesome layers, friendly, and good foragers, however.

I have been told that Easter Eggers are just mix breed and don't always have colored eggs? Is this true? Either way I still love them

They are mix breeds (gorgeous mix breeds), and it could be true, some may not lay colored eggs, but I think they are purposefully selected for colored eggs. Mine lays a green egg, and sometimes its even a double yolk! She is very pretty and she hatched out a very pretty chick.

The one nearest to the top is Eagle's chick

Easter Eggers from hatcheries are not random mixed breeds. They have been cross bred intentionally with higher producing breeds like leghorns and RIR to increase the laying rates and then are bred back to blue egg laying hens. It's those offspring that hatcheries then sell as 'pure' Ameraucana. Easter Eggers that come from backyard flocks can be any combination of breeds and still be called Easter Eggers if they lay a blue or green egg.

They are adorable thank you my girls are Aurora And plush love them! They are beautiful are yours a little standoffish all my other chicks love attention except for those 2 and my 2 rose comb brown leghorns

Both birds look to have pea combs, which gives something like a 97percent chance of blue or green eggs. I agree with junebuggena, they're not mixed breeds in the sense of barnyard mixes. Hatcheries usually work pretty hard to keep the colored genes in their breeder flocks or they would lose a lot of business.
