I think pullet. My now 14 week old cockerel was much redder around the face at that age, plus the white and black bars seem to have the pullet pattern. I'm no expert though, as my only Dominique is Hank.
This is true. The third indicator is leg size but that has to be done with a group for comparison or having prior knowledge. I think you've a pullet. What may have had you second guessing at hatch was the white dot in first pics. That is a crisp small spot and not blotchy at all. You can't take the "circle" too literally, elliptic is good enough for pullet. And of course it had dark wash on legs (shanks).
The later pics show a female barring pattern too. Males having a lighter appearance due to second barring gene, females only carry one.
