Dark eggs not developing?

This is my second broody in a few months time and both times the green and dark brown eggs never begin development. In the first hatch only one egg got veins and hatched and it was white. All the others were duds, no development at all. Although I know for a fact that alllll my eggs are fertile. Now this hatch I had her sittin on 9 eggs, different hen, and only 3 have veins on day 14. Cracked all the others and they had 0 development. 2 of the 3 with veins are white and one is brown which I guess is an improvement. Any idea what's going on? User error??
 
If all the hens are getting fertilized by the rooster then it could be they are not getting proper nutrition or have poor genetics or are inbred.

They free range daily and are healthy all around...the rooster and one of the hens who lays the brown eggs are related thoo...but the olive egger is not, and she seems defect free.
 
Cuckoo maran. And actually now that I think about it a friend of mine did successfully hatch some maran eggs of mine in a incubator. The olive eggers never developed I don't think. Maybe there just more finicky than the others /:
