"Americanas"?

Easter Eggers. And the first bird is male. No idea what color a pullet will lay until she starts laying. You can't tell just by looking.
That's good to know. My 'Roo, 'Chaz'. looks a lot like him. Seeing as he was supposed to be a she (and one of the other EE pullets turned out to be a BE) I get a little worried sometimes.

http://chickensforbackyards.com Also uses the name Easter Egger and Ameraucana together.. But they do call them Easter Eggers. Mostly.

Quote: Not entirely accurate. Easter Eggers from hatcheries aren't really mixed breeds. And they aren't derived from the Araucana breed that we have today. Easter Eggers are the birds that everybody called Araucana prior to the 1970s. It wasn't until the Araucana and the Ameraucana breed standards were accepted by the APA that the distinctions of Araucana/Ameraucana/Easter Eggers were made. Up until that point, they were all called Araucana, but all would have been considered Easter Eggers today.
