I have had chickens off and on. The last 3 years have really been taken with some different breeds. Right now have 6 adult Bantam Chocolate Orpingtons, an 8 week chick, and 12 -two week old chicks. I also have 3 Cream Legbar chicks that are 8 weeks old, and 7 adult Serama's.

I love the gentleness of the Choc. Orpingtons, they are fun to have. The Serama's are so easy to work with and their tiny size is great fun.

This sight is very informative and I have enjoyed using it for a couple years.

Welcome to BYC - always nice to see another IN member here on the site. Sounds like you have a really great little flock there. What part of Indiana are you checking in from?

Thanks for noticing my post. I live in very Northern Indiana and more to the East between Bristol and Middlebury. Serama's do lay small eggs and my hen was laying on 7 eggs which isn't very many. However the dandy incubator comes in oh so handy! I am not planning on hatching this year as they just started laying but next year, oh yeah.

Old mare do you still have her? I have a haflinger mare. :)

Hi,
My fingers not very agile today. LOL. Have you ever hatched Serama in an incubator? I have read a few posts that say they are hard to hatch that way.
