I say the government should legalise fox hunting seeing as the fox numbers are out of control. They have no natural predator so it is our job to control their numbers. What do you think.

If u kill one and then u put it up on a tree i heard that all the other ones know not to go around there and if a cop found out u shot one say your deffending your homestead

I thought it only worked if u hung a crow outside the pen it would keep other crows away. Didn't know it worked the same with a fox.

Why don't you learn to put your chickens away at night? It's not hard, if one gets taken its YOUR FAULT because it wasnt safe. Learn to look after your chickens.

Agree 100%
The foxes were there long before you were, and it's up to YOU to look after YOUR animals. Now if a SINGLE fox is coming after your chickens repeatedly, then it's another story. But if there's not a single fox on your property bothering you, don't act like a savage and find one for the sake of killing a beautiful animal

A lot of good that will do, for protection against the fox. The fox is a 24hr a day threat, not just at night. I lost 17 birds in two separate day attacks. So who's fault is that? I shoot every fox I see, (If I can get to my rifle fast enough.)

^ Exactly my thinking... If the fox attacks your birds or wanders into your property then It's your responsibility to handle it, but me being me I'd scare it and take more harsh actions if he returned
I have found that they don't scare easily. They just wait for you to leave. The answer for me was 650' of electrified poultry net. The birds get out every day, and have a pretty big area to roam, and I don't have to worry about them.

But if England re-legalized fox hunting wouldn't that mean only nobility riding horses could shoot them on the king's land?

We've a similar problem where I live involving fisher cats. They went near extinction in this state which to me is no big deal as they are not endangered world wide and are not indigenous here. So in the wisdom of state management they were protected. We now have far too many and yet the only legal means of killing is a fur bearing trappers license and two week window of opportunity. Common to hear of different neighborhoods where cats start vanishing so people keep pets inside until the fisher moves on.
