Hello Georgians,
frow.gif

I am looking for some lemon pyle brahma chickens and a Roo. Does anyone know where we can get them in GA?
Thanks

Is that a buff laced in your profile pic?

She looks fabulous!
Sure is, she's my favorite hen. The two pictured are my only two hens I have, something...coyote or hawk....snatched all the rest during the day while I was at work. Was a big big disappointment, as I wanted to try and start breeding this type. So now I have these two, a gold laced pullet, and a gold/blue laced? rooster.

My poor girls :(

Once I get some coop space cleared up, I'm going to get them separated and start hatching some eggs. I'm just curious what the grey/blue in the roo is going to do and if I will even get any buff laced out of the hatchings (I secretly prefer the buff laced, visually).

Oh NO! That's the worst! I'm so sorry to hear that. :(
I really like the buff laced too. My favorite are the Lemons but I'd like to get other light colors - maybe Isabelles at some point. You have/had very beautiful, big girls - gorgeous.

You will prob get some Buff Laced, some Blue Partridge (that's what the roo looks like to me), as well as whatever color the two colors make together. If you want ore Buff laced, my understanding is that you would breed the Buff Laced babies you get from that breeding to each other (breed siblings) & then breed the siblings of those resulting chicks & so on until you get what you're looking for (Buff Laced). At least that's what a very good breeder told me to do. I just don't have any Buff Laced to breed to. :( I got some from a lady but they were all sick so I culled every last one of them. It was heartbreaking but I had to. I have some chickens I pad more than $100 for. I want all the Brahma colors: Silver Laced, Buff laced, Lemon Pyle, Lavender, whichever...lol I'll take them all. :) As of yet, I only have Gold Laced, Blue Partridge, & Blue/Black/Splash, plus I'm working on a project color.
