13 week update

Does everyone still think Goldie is a roo, the tail isn't getting very long? Ben is crowing now and Sparky is pretty obviously a roo. Do you still think Yellow, Layla and Fifi are hens?

Yes. Goldie is 100% rooster. Yellow, Laya and Fifi are pullets.

Thanks! I so wish Goldie was a pullet. Not sure what I'm going to do with 3 roos...

I agree as well.

Here's a 25-week update:

Everyone was correct about Goldie, Sparky and Ben being cockerels. I still have Goldie but the other 2 were re-homed. Here is a current picture of Goldie:




Of the 3 girls, Yellow (the white one) started laying eggs in week 20 and has only missed 1 day since (she is our little egg factory). The other 2 girls are both letting Goldie do his thing, but neither of them have given us an egg yet (freeloaders).

Here they are discussing what a stud Goldie is. Either that, or Yellow is telling them how much it hurts when she pops an egg out. LOL



They are such fun and make me giggle all the time.
