My hen has had what I believe is bumble foot, with a brown dot on the bottom of her foot for about a month. All of my other hens have these spots, but she is the only who limps. I thing it is caused by standing on the hardwire for too long so I try to get her out as much as possible. I left for a couple days and came back and now she is limping even worse then she has been for the last month and her whole foot is completely swollen. I feel if we do surgery it would only worsen it. What can I do???? She's in so much pain that, even though I will do anything to help her get better, if she gets worse I might have her put out of her misery.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Heavy breeds of chickens don't do well on hardwire cloth. Surgery is the best bet to go with, even if it is a lot of work. It has pretty good results. You could also try this: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/303829/vet-suggestion-for-non-invasive-bumblefoot-cure/220

Best of luck!

Take her to the vet as soon as possible, this sounds pretty bad. I used to not take my chickens to the vet and heal them myself, but that turned out badly one time so it's best to just take her to the vet and see what the vet says about it.
I hope she gets better!

I would replace the wire with a solid floor. Not only can wire floors cause bumblefoot but they are very uncomfortable for the birds.

If all of your hens have "brown spots" they probably all have bumblefoot from the wire.

Ok, thanks everyone for your help! I'll see what I can do.
