The big white geese dont fly. They protect the canadian geese families but when canadian geese fly away big white geese mourns and seems lost. Its so sad
 
Geese form strong bonds with each other. But if you have geese, you should keep the wild ones away if you can, because they can carry diseases.
 
I live on a lake in apts and cant stop the Canadian geese from stopping by to raise their gooslings. Iol I watch for sick ones and none of the big white geese are mine. I think they have been here along time. Nobody is sure how they arrived. One got hurt and is healing at a wildlife preserve. It does break my heart to see the Canadian geese thoe as so for the big white geese. I have fun with all the ducks and geese.
 
Oh yes, now I remember, I talked to you about that white goose earlier in another thread. You should see if anyone wants to catch and take home the others.
 
They probley would be safer somewhere else but I don't know who would want them. Until then Ill look after them but I work also and cant watch them all the time. I saved them from a dog that had one last year but the dog had killed one duck and an injured Canadian goose.
