I have seen that there are no Black Laced Red Wyandotte Threads. So I figured I'd start one. I have a BLRW named Mona Lisa. She is sweet but has a bit of an attitude, which I don't mind. We got three of them one for us and two for my grandma. Their names were Dwight and Angela from the Office and Mona Lisa from Parks and Recreation's. I love them already.

I would love to see a picture of your BLRW, serama mama. For about 10 weeks, I thought my Blue Laced Red Wyandotte was a black laced, but as it turns out, she's just a very dark, smoky blue. Here she is:

My sweet Cheyenne.

Also, for reference, here's a picture of Cheyenne's feathers next to Kiowa's (my GLW).

Notice how much darker red Chey's background color is. Kiowa's is more light orangish
gold.

She's so beautiful! To me, she resembles a GLW, but I'm not as experienced as others on here.
Here's a picture I found from Cackle Hatchery of a Black Laced Red Wyandotte pair.
The first thing I see is how deep red the background color on the hen's lacing is. But
once again, I'm by no means an expert!

I don't think that she is show quality. We got her from a flea market. Ours doesn't have very good birds.

Some of them are like really sick and they try to sell them so we don't usually buy some from there but she was supposed to be blue laced red Wyandotte. But that is something that they produce.

That could explain it, then!

But show quality or not, she's gorgeous and probably makes a great pet. Trust me, I have some birds that are NOT show quality because of their physical flaws (such as a missing eye or bent toes), but they have the most amazing personalities and that's all that matters to me.

Us too! She is not too friendly yet but we think that she will cool down after she starts to lay. She will be laying in a couple of weeks, I think.
