We got our very first eggs from our jumbo Browns. I think they are both fertile too. I'm excited. I ate these but will be getting an incubator soon!! Just had to share!

I can't tell looking at those pictures if there fertile or not. Once they are out of the shell you might as well eat then because it wouldn't be a very good idea to try to put them back. ;)

Congrats on the eggs!

What incubator are you getting?

Oh, I ate these eggs! They were yummy! I'm debating on getting a hovabator. I plan to turn an old fridge into an incubator but in the mean time I think I want a hovabator.

Can someone explain how to turn an old mini fridge into an incubator? I happen to have an old mini fridge and if I can save money turning it into a bator instead of buying one I'd love to do that :)

Take off the condenser and the interior controls and you'll find corresponding wiring. You can use those for your element and thermostat as well as the turner motors. Drill a hole near the bottom and one in the top that will accept a piece of 3/4 or 1" PVC to act as vents. Buy multiple caps for the vents and drill differing patterns in each one to help you regulate humidity on the top vent. You'll need at least two computer fans and two old cell charger cords to run them so you have sufficient circulation of air. If you have the technology cut a hole in the door and put a piece of glass on the inside and out to act as a double pane window.
