A recent thread got me wondering 1) How many of you throw caution to the wind, accept the health risks, and smooch away on your chickens; and 2) How many of you give heed to caution and find other ways to express your affection?

I love my chickens but will not kiss them. I feed them and spend time with them and that's their affection. I don't have to do anything special and they come running...I imagine they are hoping for goodies!

You'd better believe I do! A day never goes by when the chickens and ducks don't get goodnight kisses.

X3 on the above. Chickens can carry communicable diseases and since they are probably not that fond of kisses anyway (stroking or petting will work just fine), it's definitely not worth the risk.
