I have seven hens and one rooster. I was getting four to five eggs a day then it slowly went down. Now I haven't got any in a week! I feed them good food, oyster shells, I'm doing all I can think of. What's wrong?

They do start to burn out with the summer heat, and continued laying, more protein would help, mine pick up again when it gets cooler, until they molt.

I have Ameraucana chickens and they've always been so good about laying for me. I'm just so worried something could be upsetting them.

What a lot of speculation!

How old are birds?
What are you feeding...protein content of feed and other foods given?
What is your climate? Putting your location in your profile can really help folks give better answers.
Do you free range?
Any new birds added or predator attacks lately?

My birds are three and I'm feeding them layer feed and mix oyster shells in with it. They're not free range bids. I have a coop and let them out in the mornings into a large fenced in walking area we have made for them. There hasn't been any predator attacks. I live in the country and the south at that and the weather has been pretty warm and humid with the rain we've had here recently.

Mine are starting to molt, they will stop laying during it, have you noticed more feathers in your coop and run.
