So normally my dog and four week old duck are fine with eachother, best of buds but the duck tried to take food off the dog and the dog snapped at the duck. There's a single puncture on the top bill about half way down, it bled but not a lot.
How can I help it heal?
Just as a side note...... Ralph the dog dosent normally get fed when the ducks running around but now and then he'll become strongly attached to a food (normally an apple, potato or even bread rolls) and will obsessively carry it round, sometimes for a good week or so or until it gets so nasty I have to take it away. This time is was a red bell pepper I'd thrown out for the chickens that he nabbed before they could get at. I hadn't seen him with it all day so assumed he'd eaten it or left it outside. Turns out he'd hid it under the sofa in the family room.something he's never done before.
From now on I'll be more careful and check under the sofa.
