Cornish rocks not getting very big

Crushed oyster shell should be available at the same place you buy feed. Your wife's family may have fed their birds only corn, but their birds probably weren't very healthy, took a long time to mature, and didn't lay many eggs. There are many threads on this site of people who mistakenly only fed their chickens corn. It can cause all sorts of problems, from malformed bones and joints to birds that take over a year to develop enough to lay eggs. If they raise Cornish Cross, then they were probably processed by 6 to 8 weeks old, before any health problems could arise.

Ok well I appreciate all the info. I told her and she said that they did actually give them oyster shells. So you I give them as much grower and oyster shells as they like daily? I read online to treat them with scraps and corn every once in a while.

Layers should get about 1/4lb of feed daily...

I feed my layers that amount split into a morning and afternoon feeding, I feed broilers on the se schedule they just get more

After switching their food and giving them unlimited access to the grower I can already notice a huge difference already. Thank yall very much.
