Not sure if this is where i should be but this is where i am. Lol. I have three ducks. Im a first time duck mom. Their hatchday was May 20th 2015. Im not positive on their breed or sex however im guessing they are girls based on no curl on tail feathers and that they have taken over the chickens nesting boxes. I have pictures and dont know how to add them but i will try to figure it out. Also Duckie...the white duck...doesnt quack...we joke and say someone stole her quacker...she or he makes more or a whisper airy noise.

Duckie, Tux, and Pepper

I see a Pekin, a Black Swedish, and I'm not sure about the other. I would guess your Pekin is male, because he is quieter and has a raspy whisper. That's what young male ducks sound like. You should know for sure in a month or two.

So if a Pekin has a loud quack it is a female? I'm a first time duck mom too and I'm still trying to figure out what gender my pekin is.

The female makes a loud quacking noise and the male makes a real low raspy noise.

Trying to beat the heat today...Duckie (white) loves it when Tux (black) stands on the side on pool and leaks water out for a muddy puddle

I agree. White Pekin Drake, Black Swedish and a Rouen. They are very cute!

If he is anything like my Pekin Drake you will be happy his quacker was stolen. Ferdinand never, ever stops talking. If he was loud it would be tough to be around him. Since he is so quiet it's cute. LOL!
