These are my first orpingtons they, are 7.5wks old. They are pretty huge. I know one possibly two are roosters. I'm hoping that's it. I'll be so sad if most,of them are roos. I left out the picture of the obvious roo. Thanks for playing! ;)

What a crap draw :(. Should i wait a bit longer before it's a 100%? If so when would i know for sure?

yeah you could wait a couple more weeks to be sure, im thinking possibly the 2 could possibly be pullets yet... but also likely not... they looks just like my roo did at that age... but I think if you wait till 9 weeks it should be obvious in comb and waddle development to pick out your roos and pullets..

sorry for your bad luck. They are such beautiful birds. I really like the roo in the second picture.

They came from papa brooder polutry. Even if they aren't purebred they are gorgeous and he has above exceptional customer service.
Rlbrand thanks for the info, I think I'll wait it out. Before I rehome them. All,but two have great personalities. That's why I'm so freaking bummed. Currently we only have 5 hens due to turn a year old in August. Then whatever pullets we get from this group. If i were to keep a rooster, I've read only 1 roo per 8 hens is that true? All but one pictured here and 1 i didn't picture are beyond friendly. They all want to perch, follow and stay right with me. So parting with all is just plain depressing.

Typically you read 1 rooster for 8 hens.. but then I have also read people have had 1 rooster for every 2-3 hens... I am sure this all depends on quite a lot.. how much space they have.. their personalities.. I think the main reason to keep the 1 to 8 ratio is because of the roosters being too hard on the hens.. if there are only a couple he may be too hard on them wanting to mate too frequently ect.. but perhaps if your roosters are gentleman like and don't for lack of a better word rape your hens maybe you can keep more than 1? So if worst case you only end up with one pullet out of your new group, for total of 6 hens.. i think you could still keep 1 roosters.. just pick the one that is the most gentle and nice to your hens.
