Thank you Ntsees. I will start looking for a companion and hopefully by the time this one is an adult I will be able to find one. I'm assuming they are adults at about 3-4 months old. Is this correct?

I think these quail species are not adults until after 6 months. At around that time, they should have their full plumage. At 3-4 months, the males should start developing black (and some white) feathers on the face area. If yours have some black feathers coming in, it's a male. If it's just brown, then it's female....I'm assuming they are adults at about 3-4 months old. Is this correct?
