We got her at feed store and had no idea what she was we got her 4 araucana and another I'm not sure of that is a smaller breed of some sort and very curious and brave

Feed stores do not sell Araucana. They sell Easter Eggers, that they label Araucana.

This is a barred Rock pullet. I have 6 and all are very curious birds.

OK cool it is one of my favorites it has a lot of personality and is into everything I'll get a pic of what they told me are the araucana they are nice looking birds and have a fluff on there cheeks the others dont
I agree with junebuggena, you have easter eggers and a barred rock. Feed stores don't actually carry araucanas, they are actually a very rare breed and true araucanas are rumpless and tufted. Easter eggers are the name for any mixed breed that usually has ameraucana or araucana in its background somewhere and lays a blue or green egg. That's what feed stores and hatcheries carry.

Pure Araucana do not have fluffy cheeks. Easter Eggers usually do have 'muffs', beards, pea combs, and green legs with yellow foot bottoms. Most feed stores source their chicks from big hatcheries. No hatchery currently sells pure Araucana. They are very, very rare and very expensive. Most hatcheries have Easter Eggers that they sell as Ameraucana, Araucana, or Americauna. It's a marketing ploy to trick uneducated buyers into thinking they are getting the real thing. There is no guarantee that an Easter Egger will lay a blue or green egg.

OK that's good to know so the barred rock is the only different one it seems to love the dog I have 12 chick' that all will jump on the dog and aren't afraid but the barred rock likes him the most and is always on him and was the first to start it thanks for your info
