Hearty Breakfast Muffins

Okay, no chicken in them, and only one egg, but if you have hungry teenage boys a batch of these will sure help fill them up......for a while, at least :/

1/4 c oil

1 egg

1c milk

1/4 c sugar

1/2 tsp salt

mix above well then add

1 TBSP baking powder

2c flour

2 sausage patties* diced

1-1 1/2 cups shredded cheese

dashes of granulated garlic and onion

stir til just mixed, spoon into well-greased muffin pan. Bake 400 degrees for 20 min.

* I use the pre-made sausage patties, we always have them on hand for breakfast sammies. Feel free to use bulk sausage or whatever you have on hand. It really doesn't take much, a little goes a long ways in these muffins. Maybe a quarter pound or so? I've also used diced cooked bacon or ham, equally yummy!
