So here I am again to pester you with something that came to mind.
I was watching CBS this morning and they had an article/thing whatever you call it about Celebrity endorsement on social media sites. Seems some Celebrities are touting products but not mentioning they get paid to do so. Nor are they mentioning the side effects like the TV ads do.
Seeing as I "plug" some Feed brands and other things I wanted to clarify that I personally DO NOT receive any money from any company nor BYC which I write on the back of my business cards and hand out to anyone who will talk with me at the TSC or Country max or NYS fair or where ever.
Keep in mind I believe there may be some here who ARE paid to be here and tout merchandise. Perhaps some bloggers are too.
With regards to BYC, I realize there are other forum sites out there. There are bloggers and newletters and tumblr and oh what's that other one? Oh yeah Pinterest I didn't even realize Pinterest was a social media place. I just joined to get ideas.
That said, I just can't follow twits and facebook and etc. etc.
Too I know that no matter where you go, there you are. People are people no matter where they're at or what country they're in. I've been to some other countries and states. Point being? I laugh when folks get upset and say, "I'm leaving".
See the thing is we need to get along. We will meet and run into folks who don't always agree with us and at times just tick us right off. But don't we all just want acceptance for who we are?
It's easy to misunderstand and be misunderstood on these social media sites. I just give folks the benefit of the doubt.
There have been times when I've had to take some time off and lick my wounds, but I come back, because I am friends with folks here. It's what friends do. Friends don't write you off or stop speaking to you because of some tif. At least this friend doesn't.
I've been at the same church for nearly forty years and if you think my feathers have never been ruffled or some sermon hasn't made me feel uneasy you'd be wrong. Course forgiveness is a big part of my faith and it's a two way street.
Anyhow,
I like BYC and this unfortunately or fortunately it's where I've settled. I don't receive money from BYC, or Agway or Practical Poultry or ALBC or any of these companies. My reviews, my endorsements are my own and not paid for.
So please be aware when buying into some celebrity's endorsement of medicines or products. That's really why I posted this.
I hope this makes some kind of sense.
