Given that Silkies and Cochins, among the most popular of the Frizzles, are feathered, I think it would be great. But you'd have to keep them really clean.

I have actually seen them. Was going to purchase a Black Frizzle D'Uccle cockerel earlier this year but he was sold before I got the chance to. It would be very easy to create them. Just cross a Cochin frizzle over a D'Uccle and keep crossing the frizzled offspring back to D'Uccles to work on certain traits. Should have shawable birds after 3 generations.

This is my tiny little 13 week old bantam White Rock frizzle, Hannah (aka. Fred - since I don't actually know if Freddie Frizzle is a boy or a girl tongue )

Glad to have found this thread as this is my only frizzle (tossed in as a freebie with a bunch of olive egger hatching eggs) and my only bantam - although I just hatched a Silkie that might be good company for this little guy. I didn't think about the frizzle feathers not being as warm although I can see this little one seemed to have a little more trouble keeping warm. But this crazy little bird was the first one to take a tear through the snow yesterday!!! big_smile

Why are you screaming at us?  I breed Frizzles and Sizzles. I can't really see much in that picture given the cage fencing in the front.
