Thanks! I'm thinking the same thing. What makes you think cockerel though? I keep flipping back and forth on that one!

The dark one has a fairly well developed comb for only a  month old chick. It will probably be bright red within the next few weeks.

I just wanted to update everyone- Snow Belle (the white gal) definitely turned out to be an ameracauna mix! She lays lovely sky blue eggs! One of my favorite chickens easily.

The black one (Greta) turned out to be a hen much to my delight! I believe her to be an australorp/Wyandotte mix. Thanks for your help!!! smile.png

Sure! Here are Snow Belle and Greta now (well actually these pics were taken at Thanksgiving). And I added a photo of their eggs from yesterday as well. Greta's is on top and Snow Belle's is the blue one closest to the front.
