Chicken flooring height

I did a 12x8 tractor no coop for my chickens - (30) and thought that was right around the min sq. ft. per bird that they can do while stil being able to move around and flap there wings.
You are doing 100 in 150 sq ft - (1.5/sq ft per bird) - Personally i would do 50 in that enclosure not 100. With that being said even if you do 80 with that flooring the bottom will be CAKED in poo every day and will have to be removed from the pen, cleaned and put back in (afterall you are eating this product... do you want to eat fece covered skin? If you do then I would buy chickens from the supermarket as there probally cheaper.) Not sure how moveable you plan on your sections being if you have 2 people then cleaning daily may not be to big of a task but for me thats way to much work.

Onto your question - is 15 cm high enough? - Well with the grates the poo will sit on top until they step in it and shove it through the holes. If you plan on leaving the waste below them until the birds are market size then 15 cm might enough (although I think the holes will get jammed way before you fill 15cm of excrement) and that will STINK so so so bad.
IMO do a chicken trailer if you can or no grates and shovel it out daily.

I have never had meat birds but definitely I agree with cliffoco that any grate-type flooring becomes caked with poo. The problem is that every 8th poo or so is caecal poo (liquid) and some poo is large and squishy, and doesn't fall through.

You will find yourself hosing it down daily to keep it clean and mud puddles forming under the coop.

Thanks, I was told (by the seller)that the poo will pass through. Now I will insist on seeing an actual farm that uses them. He told me that I will clean only when take them.
