Have a 2 week old blue slate turkey that's wing feathers almost look like they're just rottening. They are just the stem and a black end on it, should I be concerned and maybe a solution? Thanks in advance, new to poultry and byc
 
I don't know much about turkeys, but there is a type of mite (or louse?) that eats feathers. Small and hard to see without close examination, but you will find blobs of eggs stuck on the feathers near the base. Did the feathers grow in looking like that, or were they normal and have changed now?
 
I just noticed it going on, bought some spray to try, it is just that one the other bird is perfect..
 
I have a chicken that had most of her feathers come in as you are describing after a hard molt last year. Never figured out what caused it. Hoping she will molt this year and grow some good feathers.
