yeah that could be a pretty good reason! I don't know how she did it. I hope the bloods not coming because she's stopping the blood supply by the leg being bent like that. The cut is bang on the joint bit.
 
Could do with a BYC expert before vets office tomorrow

It might be a hematoma? ("a solid swelling of clotted blood within the tissues.") they can take a few weeks to resolve and could cause stiffness in the joint.
