Dry incubation for button quail

Are the other 2 a pair? if so Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll hatch some babies and you'll get one that's compatible with her. Unti then I would go with the previous poster and at least keep her when she can see the other quail . I have a bunch of extra quail right now both coturnix and buttons so I can play musical quail if they aren't getting along. I finally managed to introduce one of my loner girls with a pair, they finally accepted her . they are all snuggled up together right now sleeping.

Yeah I believe the other two are a pair. If they have babies I'll use your advice. And the cages are close enough for them to see each other.

So Snow, the one in the above pictures, is jumping up and down in his? Cage. This only happens at night and only occasionally what do you think this is a d can I stop it?

Mine do it all the time at night, I think they are just spooking themselves. I don't know if its possible to stop them . I have never tried. Maybe covering their cage at night so its completely dark?

I have also heard suggestions of giving them a night light so they can see their surroundings. And I read about one that stopped after it got a mate..

Well.. I've had 2 females living together for a few months in a cage about 50 cm. high with a wire top. They also lost the feathers on their head. They didn't seem hurt apart from that, but obviously it can't be healthy to continuously hit your head on something hard and bald quail don't look very pretty. One of my girls was eaten by a cat a week ago and I've moved the other to a home built cage with a padded top, where she is now living with two of her younger sisters, until I get mates for them. I'm hoping her feathers will grow back nicely soon.
I would either pad the top of her cage with something or move her to a cage with a padded top - mine didn't seem to learn not to boink in their cage.
