8 week old Chocolate Orphington Roo - He's gotta go. :((

I appreciate all the interest. I am really sad to see these guys go. They are so friendly and part of the flock.
I just don't feel comfortable with the shipping of birds. I would hate to see anything happen to them & the weather out here has been so hot.
I found a sanctuary near me who is happy to take them & I am driving them there tomorrow morning. They will live on a farm with other chickens, sheep, goats, cows... The polish really was special. My husband has been training him to ride on the handle bars of a bicycle.

I'm going to look for another polish hen now.

All the best, Krista

Hi,
Two went to a ranch in northern California and two went to a animal sanctuary in the desert.

I hope they're all doing well. All our other hens are doing well and are laying now.

Thanks for asking.

What is the name of the animal sanctuary that you were able to place your roosters with. There is a rooster that looks like a chocolate orphington at the sanctuary near me (high desert areaa little north east of California, and I'm wondering if it might be yours?
