Hey there! Ive been waiting for a store to get medicated feed for about a month now, had the birds a little longer than that. They are probably 3-4 months old, is it okay to switch from normal gamebird feed to medicated at this point?

Probably OK to do so but not necessary. If they've been outdoors, they surely have been exposed to coccidia and have developed resistance by this time.

Recommended age to take chicks off of Medicated feed is 4-8 weeks old since the birds will have an immune system by then to the diseases the medicated feed helps prevent.

Okay, will it hurt them? I just started adding some of the medicated feed today to their normal feed to acclimate their diets. I bought a 55lb bag of it

. Also, I'm not sure of their age exactly, 3 months is a guess. Here's a picture from the breeder of the bunch they came from. It was taken on July 9th. Anyone have a better age estimate?

They look like they are 3 weeks old in that image. If that was July 9th then they are around 2 months old now. Medicated feed won't hurt them but it won't help them for much longer. You can feed medicated feed for a little bit but the added medication is not helping them since they already have an immune system built up. It shouldn't hurt them but it just costs more money than non medicated feed at 20% protein or more.

Looks like 7 hens in the box and 6 males with this lighting. I can only see the head of one chick so I can't tell what sex it is.

Thanks for the info, I won't buy another bag after this one then. I appreciate your checking the genders for me! I only ended up with half this group, however. Here is a recent pick if you want to narrow it down for me. It was taken on the 11th. I'm no expert but I'm starting to think I have two males and five females, what do you think?

So I've been feeding a medicated starter for a few days and I just saw this on a feed website:
400

Now I'm confused, is this incorrect?

Must be a chicken medicated chick feed. For future I would try to buy a medicated feed for gamebirds, or at least safe for pheasants or turkeys.
