Thank you. I was so amazed that I got one to stand still long enough not to blur the pic!

I love the polish traits coming out in their head feathers! You can always get some fertilized eggs shipped to you and then mate your guy to a hen from the eggs There really doesn't seem to be many Sebright breeders around.I really wanted to get my little Sebright dude some females of the same breed because I love the way they look. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any in my state (which makes me wonder where the heck he flew in from) but he did end up with some Golden Laced Polish ladies that offered some really interesting mixes: Memnoch - we're having teenager issues with him right now; he ended up not too much taller than his Sebright father, but he has a lot more weight on him. Mercury - she takes after her father's Sebright personality a lot; very independent and stubborn and kinda bossy sometimes. I would still love to be able to get some female Sebrights in the future, but I'm delighted with my first ever hatching results. If for nothing else, I love the partial crest/mohawk and how they flare it up when they're not happy.
Odin and Hel are the smallest and have the best combs, they have lovely posture when they choose to, they are all hatchery quality but I don't care. They make some lovely babies.and they are pretty.
Spike( sebright/EE-cochin) and Idunn(sebright/cochin)
Trying to get better pictures of the mix babies but I swear I am having a run of bad luck with them. Last attempt got this
And then my phone died.... I will try again when the sun comes up.... At least you can see the sebright/cochin mixed are heavier built than the others

Close up of the one without the fuzzy legs .
Our Sebright has been flying up into the trees during the day. I haven't worried much about it because she's always near (technically above) the flock. She's also always back inside the coop at night. Is this normal? or Will she venture further as she matures? She's a little over 4 months.
Also, at what age do they begin to lay? Days are getting shorter, so I'm sure it will take longer for her.
