Hello!

Can I give my 3.5 week old chick probiotics just because? How about my week old one's?

Would it be bad to to give to them when they don't have problems because they get used to it? Or is it good to give to them in general? Should I give it to them everyday?

Thanks!

Absolutely. I put Gro2Max in my chicks' first water. It doesn't have to be every day. I do it about once a week. The idea of pre and probiotics is that they populate the gut. Unless they get something that kills the bacteria and yeasts they should stay in the gut.

I agree completely,

Yes, it was indeed very helpful! <3

I meant to add that if you ever have to give antibiotics, it's important to give probiotics after.

Also, if you are using chlorinated water, it may help to dechlorinate using a simple aquarium tap water conditioner before adding the probiotic powder to it.
It is 1 drop per gallon for chlorine and 3 drops per gallon for chloramine (which is what most municipal water companies use).

Gotcha! Does that mean tap water is bad? I also have filtered water and do not mind giving them that instead from now on!
