Does Anyone Hold Their Chickens by their Feet

I thought so.

I did not want any reading this to think: "Just walk around with the chicken hanging upside down for 10 minutes or so and that should correct things."

I am pretty sure everyone would agree that carrying a chicken under the arm is much better than by the feet and upside down. However, it might make sense to hold the chicken upside down in some limited instances.

I personally don't do it. I'm not against people who do it, don't get me wrong, but I'm so scared that I will hurt them. I imagine how I would feel if I was being held by my feet. I do however make sure the flock knows that I'm boss.

I held my roo under my arm this evening. Right after I put him down I brought some clovers over for them to eat and he actually ate from my hand (it's been about a week since he would take anything from me)! Hopefully that will hold his little attitude off for a while :)
