Amy ! were your chicken ears burning ? I was just talking about them. they have put their weight back on so fast ! the one hen still is acting tired and was just told to start her on some vitamins. but they seem to be doing great ! I sit out there for hours watching them. soo pretty. My favorite by far.
 
Yep five months. They hatched Mother's Day weekend. Glad to hear there ok. I love watching them to. They are pretty funny.

Your Rooster has found his voice ! he sounds like a squeaky wheel right now. only 2 syllables in it but so cute !!!
 
Hi Amy, we havent talked for a while . I have some bad news actually . My rooster took a fall back in December and broke his leg or legs. I have had him in a cage to himself ever since. I take him out and let him pick grass when its nice . It has healed wrong despite the casts and everything else I have tried. He was in a sling for well over a month. He lost a terrible amount of weight and I discovered he was full of worms . I wormed him and he is gaining weight now but the leg drew up under him and he has no balance . I have been trying PT on him to stretch the leg but getting no where. Im not sure how much longer I should keep trying but I havent gave up yet.

The 2 hens are doing great and getting ready to start laying. I hope you and yours are well.
 
Sorry to hear about your rooster, hope he can get better. At least your giving him a chance. All my chickens are good here. I have 17 all together and mine just started laying again. Have you got any Tolbunt eggs yet? They are such a nice white color. We just added two ducklings to the family today the pet store by my house was selling them for Easter. I just couldn't resist. My kids just love them. Lol
 
I have gotten some eggs but not sure from who. They wont be tolbunt because of my roo. . That is a real bummer but holding on to hope he gets better yet. I also picked up 2 ducks LOL They are about a month old now and very messy. no feathers on them yet. that was a surprise for me as I still have them under heat . They also go through a gallon of water a day right now.
