Hen. No hackle, saddle, or sickle feathers. Huge comb though!

X 2 - the comb is often what throws some folks off as they don't realize that hens can/do develop some very impressive combs.

Thank you! She had not started crowing, yet, but she is very vocal and has a huge comb, so I started to doubt myself...

Hen and she does look like a tough cookie, is she alpha?

Yes, she is the alpha now, since a hawk took out the original alpha about a month ago. That was another reason why I had suspicioned 'she' might be a 'he'.
