Hello! I found this site by googling "chicken narcolepsy". There are several posts about it but none have the same symptoms of my 5 month old White Rock hen. It started several weeks ago when I saw her laying on her side in the grass - I thought she was dead, but when I got closer to her she immediately jumped up and ran off. Ever since then I have seen her walking around then suddenly sit down. When I get close I can tell her eyes are closed, but before I get to her she must hear me because she jumps up and runs away. Could it really be narcolepsy?

I honestly have not heard of chicken narcolepsy before. Sounds interesting.

Is there anything else your chicken could be doing? Sunning herself? Taking a dust bath? Neurological issues? Etc?

You might want to try and post your concerns on this thread to get a better response. There are many people on here who are very willing to help if they have the knowledge or experience

I've never heard of chicken narcolepsy either. Chickens often seem to be in a trance when they are dust bathing. I agree you should post on the emergencies thread in full detail and see what they make of her problem.
